Sophie Hilbrand is stepping down as the presenter of the BNNVARA talk show Bar late. The broadcaster announced this on Wednesday. It is not yet clear who will succeed her.
Hilbrand and BNNVARA made the decision together. “I am very grateful for the years that I have been at the head of the talk show table,” says the 49-year-old presenter. “Now I am going to focus my attention and concentrate on developing new programs.”
Bar late started in August as a successor to On1. The program is also presented by Jeroen Pauw. Tim de Wit is the regular replacement presenter. This week marks the end of the second season.
From Monday, the WNL program Good evening Netherlands will take its place on NPO 1. That program is presented by Welmoed Sijtsma and Sam Hagens.
Hilbrand presented On1 from 2020. In 2021, she stopped doing so in order to present the talk show Khalid & Sophie together with Khalid Kasem.
