One of the two fatalities in the stabbing incident in Hoofddorp last Wednesday died from a police bullet. This was revealed by the autopsy on the victim’s body, the Public Prosecution Service reported on Monday.
In the stabbing incident in Hoofddorp, men aged 21 and 22 died. They were both from Hoofddorp. Shortly after the incident, it was determined that one of them had died as a result of the stabbing. Two police officers were injured in the incident and were treated in the hospital the same day.
Around 6:05 a.m., the police received a report of a quarrel in a house on Fanny Blankers-Koenlaan in Hoofddorp. Ten minutes later, officers found two people there who were involved in a stabbing incident. The police used force and fired shots at the scene.
The National Criminal Investigation Department’s investigation into the police deployment is still ongoing.
