KLM employees who will be flying to Israel again starting this weekend will not have to stay overnight in Tel Aviv. Instead, they can sleep in Larnaca, Cyprus.
KLM will resume flights to Ben Gurion, Tel Aviv’s largest airport, from Saturday. The Dutch Cabin Crew Association (VNC) previously reported that cabin crew members were concerned about this, partly due to attacks by Houthi rebels from Yemen.
KLM has consistently stated that the safety of its staff is important but also noted concerns among colleagues. By having employees stay overnight in Larnaca, they no longer have to stay in Tel Aviv longer than necessary.
