Albert Heijn is experiencing a malfunction on Thursday that is preventing bonus discounts from being processed correctly. This is confirmed by a spokesperson for the supermarket chain following reports by the AD.
Due to the malfunction, bonus cards do not always work. It is possible that customers will not receive a discount on bonus products. As a result, they pay the normal price for the products instead of the discounted price.
A spokesperson for Albert Heijn cannot yet say what the cause is. “We are working hard to fix the malfunction.”
It is still unclear how long the problems will last and how many people are affected. Hundreds of reports have been received on the website Allestoringen.nl since Thursday morning.
