AC Porter wins the Hebban Thriller Prize with the heirs

A.C. Porter has won the Hebban Thriller Prize with his book De erfgenamen. That was announced in the NOS Radio 1 Journaal. Behind the pseudonym is writer and criminal law jurist Arjan Alberts, who has thus stepped out of anonymity.

With the political thriller De erfgenamen, Alberts draws inspiration from the stories of ordinary people who become involved in memorable moments in world history. Under his real name, he wrote three thrillers. For his debut Natan Z. he received the ThrillZone Jury Prize for best Dutch-language thriller.

More than a hundred members of the reader community Hebban selected five titles from the longlist of fifteen original Dutch thrillers.

The professional jury unanimously chose the book by A.C. Porter as the winner from the five nominees. The thriller was praised by the professional jury for its “originality, cleverly constructed plot, well-cared-for writing style and layering”.
