Jeremy Renner has hardly any visible remains on the outside from his serious snowplow accident in 2023 but still feels pain, he says in an interview with The Guardian on Saturday.
“My mouth is still a complete mess,” says the 54-year-old actor. “It looks fine, but when I bite, it feels like I’m breaking all my teeth.”
Renner, known as Hawkeye in various Marvel films, mainly has a series of small scars from the surgery. “And my whole leg is titanium, from the knee to the ankle.”
The Marvel actor suffered serious injuries on January 1, 2023, when he was run over by a snowplow at his home in Nevada. He broke about thirty bones and suffered internal chest injuries.
The actor is convinced that he was “dead” for a short time due to the accident. He felt like he was leaving his body. “I didn’t want to come back,” he said in May on the podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera about the accident. He experienced a feeling of peace. “It’s the most exciting feeling of peace you can experience,” according to the actor.
Since the accident, Renner has a new perspective on life. “I live my life according to my own rules and for no one else,” the actor said. “All the noise has been removed.”
