Linkin Park scraps shortly before show in Arnhem Concert in Bern for medical reason

Linkin Park has canceled its concert in Bern on Friday due to a “medical cause within the band.” In a statement on Instagram, the American band announced that the performance would not take place. What that means for the show on Thursday in Arnhem is unknown.

In the message, Linkin Park offers its “sincere apologies.” “It is with great sadness that we have had to cancel tonight’s show. We have had a medical issue with the band and unfortunately cannot perform tonight. We have always loved Switzerland and were very excited to perform here.”

Linkin Park is expected to perform in the GelreDome in Arnhem on Thursday. It is unknown what Friday’s cancellation means for that show. NU.nl has asked organizer MOJO for a response, but has not yet received one. Performances in France and Italy are still scheduled for Sunday and Tuesday.

Singer and rapper Mike Shinoda writes in a story on Instagram on Saturday that he is looking forward to performing again. It is unknown if he has a medical issue, or one of the other band members.

The band assures its fans that the show in Switzerland will be made up during the European tour in 2026. Ticket holders will be informed of new dates and refund options via their ticket provider.

Linkin Park is currently on tour with the new album From Zero, which was released at the end of last year. It is the first album with singer Emily Armstrong, who has taken the place of Chester Bennington. The former singer of the American band took his own life in 2017.

Linkin Park broke through at the beginning of this century with the album Hybrid Theory. This was followed by more successful albums, including Meteora and in 2017 One More Light. Most people will mainly know Linkin Park from the song In the End.
