Wheelchair tennis player Niels Vink wins Wimbledon for third year in a row

Wheelchair tennis player Niels Vink won Wimbledon for the third year in a row on Sunday. The Dutchman was too strong for his fellow countryman Sam Schröder in the final of the quad class: 6-3 and 6-3.

The 22-year-old Vink captured his sixth Grand Slam title in singles. Earlier, De Brabander won Roland Garros twice and once the US open.

In the doubles, Vink also won the title on Wimbledon on Saturday. He was too strong for the South African Donald Ramphadi and the Brit Gregory Slade: 6-0 and 6-2 in the final in the final.

For Vink it was the fourth final victory in a row in the doubles. Earlier this year he also won Roland Garros with Sasson. He now has eleven Grand Slam titles in the doubles on his honors list.

In the wheelchair tournament (not for quads), Ruben Spaargaren also won the double title on Wimbledon on Saturday. The Dutchman triumphed with the Spaniard Martin de la Puente.
