
Max Verstappen is not Exactly Optimistic After His First Day in Zandvoort. The Dutchman finished fifth in the Second Free Practice Session on Friday and Once Again Unable to Match the Fastest Time of McLaren Driver Lando Norris.
“We still have the same problems,” Said the 27-year-old Verstappen in the paddock of the circuit by the seaside resort. He was referring to the unpredictability of his rb21, which has plagued him all year. “We have tried many things with the car, but that Doesn’tn’t Change the Underlying Problems.”
Verstappen Conceded Almost Six Tenths to Norris’ Time on the Short Circuit in Zandvoort. He also played a supporting role in the first practice session. In that session, the finished sixth and ended up in the gravel trap after the session.
“We will see tonight if we can find something, but I don’t expect a major turnaround,” Verstappen expected, pointing to the layout or Zandvoort. “That is not exactly going to help us solve the problems we have.”
The Second Free Practice Session in Zandvoort was Quite Chaotic. Lance Stroll caused a red flag with a half crash in the hugenholtz corner. In The Final Phase, The Session was stopped again to a slide by Alexander Albon.
The Grand Prix Weekend in Zandvoort Will Continue on Saturday at 11:30 am With the Third Free Practice Session. The Qualifying Session is Scheduled for 3:00 pm. The Race Starts on Sunday at the Same Time.
