The Streamers will give a one-off concert in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on September 14. The band will be on stage that evening with the Metropole Orchestra under the name Streamers & Strijkers.
The performance was announced on social media on Friday. In a video, manager Frank Lammers talks about his “new master plan.” He asks Roxy Dekker, ZoĆ« Tauran, Ronnie Flex, and Snelle to pack stringed instruments for shipment to the other band members. Singer Yves Berendse is also presented as a new member of The Streamers.
The group also consists of artists such as Guus Meeuwis, Thomas Acda, Paul de Munnik, FLEMMING, Emma Heesters, Hannah Mae, Paul de Leeuw, Nick Schilder, Simon Keizer, Diggy Dex, Miss Montreal, Typhoon, Rolf Sanchez, and Van Velzen.
According to Lammers, the band wants to take a new direction. “With Streamers & Strijkers we challenge ourselves to bring together the classics of the past and the hits of today, accompanied by the most beautiful orchestra in the Netherlands. After the online concerts and large stadiums, we want to bring something new: treat our fans to the absolute beauty of music.”
Two thousand tickets are available for the concert. These will be raffled among everyone who registers via the official website of The Streamers. Registration is possible up to and including Tuesday, July 8.
The Streamers started in 2021 with livestream concerts during the corona pandemic. Since then, the band has performed at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam and the GelreDome in Arnhem, among others.
