The 38-year-old Amsterdammer who was arrested this week on suspicion of threatening Douwe Bob will remain in custody for two more weeks. This was decided by the investigating judge on Friday, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) reports.
According to the AD, it would be Bob T., leader of the Amsterdam Defence Force (ADF). The ADF is a conservative graffiti group that says it is fighting against the “sell-off” of Amsterdam culture. The OM also suspects the man of drug possession.
Douwe Bob decided not to perform at a Jewish football event on Sunday because, according to him, the organization had not kept its agreement to omit “religious or political statements.”
The 32-year-old singer was then threatened and fled the Netherlands with his family for his safety. He will perform again at the Gelderpop festival on Saturday.
