Success coach Joran Pot exchanges Twente Women for KNVB youth teams Boys

Joran Pot will join the KNVB after his successful period with FC Twente Women. As of July 1, the coach will be responsible for the boys at Orange under 16. He will also be assistant national coach at Orange under 18.

“The environment appeals to me enormously, there is a lot of knowledge within the KNVB,” says Pot when announcing the news on the KNVB website.

“I want to develop myself as a coach. That is why I am happy with the dual role as head coach at Under 16 and assistant coach at Under 18. I am going to enjoy being on the field together and working with the very best talents.”

At Orange under 16, Pot is the successor to Alexander Palland. At Orange under 18, he will be the assistant to former PSV and FC Twente player Adil Ramzi, who was appointed national coach of the team last year.

Pot has worked at FC Twente since 2022. He won the national title twice with the club, the KNVB Cup twice, the Eredivisie Cup twice and the Supercup three times. He also led the club from Enschede to the group stage of the Champions League for the first time.

Dekker succeeds Pot

The 36-year-old Pot announced earlier this season that he was looking for a new challenge and would therefore leave FC Twente. Corina Dekker succeeds him at the Tukkers.

The KNVB announced in the same press release that Gillian Justiana will become coach of the Under 17s. The 34-year-old former CuraƧao international comes from PEC Zwolle, where he was in charge of several age groups.
