Son Mieux has postponed the club tour that was planned for later this year. In a message on Instagram, singer Camiel Meiresonne explains that the past few years have been “an adventure” but also tough on his mental health.
“I’ve been struggling for a while, so after much thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to move all club shows in the fall,” Meiresonne writes.
The shows in the Netherlands will be made up for next year in April, May and June. The band is still looking for new dates for international performances.
Son Mieux, known for songs like Multicolor, Tonight and This Is The Moment, will play all the planned shows in the summer. After that, a break will follow for the rest of the year.
“To rest, recover and finish our next album,” says Meiresonne. “That won’t be released this year. I can’t wait to share the album with you, but like myself, it needs time.”
The other band members are not mentioned in the message and have not yet responded.
