Shawn Mendes is going on tour again. Almost three years after canceling his world tour for his mental health, the Canadian singer will give a series of performances in Europe in August. He is also coming to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
“Here we go, we’re back on the road,” the 26-year-old artist writes on Instagram. For now, one show is planned in Amsterdam. Ticket sales for that concert on August 20 start this Friday.
Mendes was actually scheduled to perform in Amsterdam on July 15 and 16, 2023, but those shows were canceled. In July 2022, the singer announced that he was putting his health first. The artist said at the time that performing was taking its toll. Later, the singer went to therapy.
The European tour starts on August 5 in Krakow, Poland, and also includes performances in London, Madrid and Zurich.
In Amsterdam, Mendes will be supported by, among others, the Portuguese singer-songwriter MARO. She participated in the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Portugal in 2022.
