Vitesse has found two new main sponsors for the next three seasons. This is a step for the Arnhem side towards maintaining their professional license.
Woolsocks-The Money App is one of the new sponsors and is an app for financial savings. The other sponsor is energy supplier Frank Energie.
“Their involvement in this uncertain period is of great value to the club,” says Jaap Noltes, operational and commercial director, in a press release from Vitesse.
“The dual main sponsorship gives us more certainty in the future. This is, especially given the situation, a good signal and we are both parties grateful for their trust and support, especially at this moment.”
The survival of Vitesse is uncertain. The KNVB licensing committee announced last month that it wanted to withdraw the professional license because the club “systematically evades the licensing system.”
Vitesse must convince the licensing committee in the coming period to be allowed to play in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie next season. An important step was already taken last week with the appointment of an accountant. Attracting the main sponsors is also a step towards maintaining the license.
