Rebel Wilson charged by production company due to sabotage

Rebel Wilson sued by production company due to sabotage

Rebel Wilson is being sued by AI Film, one of the production companies behind the film The Deb. The 45-year-old actress is accused of deliberately sabotaging the film’s release.

Wilson made her directorial debut with The Deb and was previously involved in a legal battle with three of the film’s producers. The production company is now also suing the Australian actress.

According to AI Film, threats and defamatory statements from Wilson have caused financial and reputational damage to the production company.

The production of The Deb was halted when Wilson accused the film’s producers of misconduct, embezzlement, and “inappropriate behavior” towards actress Charlotte MacInnes. Subsequently, producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron, and Vince Holden sued Wilson for defamation in 2024. MacInnes denied Wilson’s story.
