Princess Amalia left hospital after surgery on broken arm

Princess Amalia has been discharged from the hospital after surgery on her broken arm. According to the Government Information Service, the princess is recovering further at home.

Amalia broke her upper arm on Tuesday after falling from her horse. The 21-year-old daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima had to undergo surgery for this. This happened in the UMC Utrecht.

The procedure went smoothly, but the crown princess had to stay in the hospital until at least Thursday. Queen Máxima announced on Wednesday that her eldest daughter was doing well. “She is very brave.”

The semi-annual photo session with the royal family, which was scheduled for today, was postponed after Amalia’s arm fracture. The photo opportunity with the royal couple and the three princesses will now be held on June 30.
