The conversation at the coffee machine can finally be about the love affairs of B&B Vol liefde candidates from tomorrow. Who are the participants of the new season? And what kind of bed and breakfast do they run?

Jean-Paul has lived in Spain for over thirty years, but his adventure as a b&b owner has only just begun. He recently took over a good friend’s bed and breakfast in Jijona, a charming village in the hills between Benidorm and Alicante. Jean-Paul is a real mood setter for his guests and doesn’t mind a party.

Yet the 59-year-old Jean-Paul sometimes feels lonely and longs for peace and a warm feeling of home. He hopes to find a woman with a sparkling appearance and a youthful spirit. “For me, only one thing matters: just a nice woman,” says Jean-Paul in his call at RTL. “And I say that because you are now looking at just a nice man.”

Eveline runs her b&b in sunny San Benedetto Val di Sambro. In 2022, the lawyer exchanged Limburg for Italy to make her dream come true. She leads a busy life with several companies, but that suits her entrepreneurial personality. In 2012, Eveline had “a kind of stroke”, which still makes it difficult for her to balance.

She is looking for a man who rolls up his sleeves. “I can easily have 37 people at the breakfast table,” she says. “I don’t want to keep doing this alone. I would love to continue building this together with a partner.” Her ideal partner is a Dutch man with a sense of humor, who likes socializing and offers her security.

Hotel Kapitan has no less than forty rooms and is an hour’s drive from Prague. Daniël took over the hotel from his father in 2021. Previously, he left the daily running of the business to his staff, while he supervised and worked in the shipping industry from the Netherlands. Daniël has been back in the Czech Republic since 2024 to give the hotel a thorough makeover.

The hotel owner is looking for a cozy woman who loves adventure and loves good food with a good glass of wine. His future girlfriend does not necessarily have to work at the hotel. “It is possible if she likes it. I am originally a captain, so it would be nice if she knows about the catering industry, then I can still learn something from her.” He also thinks it is important that she is well-groomed. “I also like to take good care of my appearance, so it’s nice if someone else does that too.”

The 61-year-old Ingrid runs a b&b with her ex-husband on the Greek island of Lesbos. Guests can not only spend the night with a view of the Aegean Sea, but also get a haircut. In the winter she regularly travels to the Netherlands to work as a hairdresser.

Ingrid fell in love with Lesbos immediately and now hopes to feel the same click with a nice man. She is looking for a tough guy with a romantic side. “Are you that animal-friendly, respectful, nice, cozy, slim, social man? Then I would love to meet you.”

In 2021, Illya from Zeeland exchanged the Netherlands for Viviez, a medium-sized village in France. In the Netherlands he worked as a furniture maker and also traded in stoves, Jacuzzis and food trucks. A few years ago he bought a French chateau, which he transformed into a luxury b&b. Illya does almost everything himself on the estate: from garden maintenance to cleaning the rooms. However, he likes to make time for an enthusiastic woman with whom he can share his beautiful place.

There is plenty of space in any case: Illya only rents out five rooms. “According to French law, no matter how big your house is, you can rent out a maximum of five rooms. If you want more, it’s a hotel,” he explains.

Magda is already past retirement age, but she shouldn’t think about stopping working. In Le Clos Robert, France, she runs a charming farm, where she rents out two holiday homes. She has been on her own since 2003, after losing her husband after a long illness.

She still enjoys her work with a lot of fun and energy, but what is still missing is a nice partner. Magda is looking for a man who likes gardening and walking. An animal friend is also welcome, because her dog Doudou is important to her. She thinks it would be great to cook together, because preparing a feast just for herself is boring.

Rob from Utrecht has lived in the French Pyrenees for almost thirty years. In the Netherlands he ran an art gallery, but he decided to change course. In Estadens he and his ex-wife converted an old chicken coop into a bed and breakfast. He now speaks fluent French and takes the village children to school every day.

“I started here with my ex-wife. We did this together for about seven years, with our children,” says Rob. “Then our relationship wasn’t good and we got divorced. Then I met Flo, and she is still my companion. We have a child together, but our relationship has been over since 2020. We still work together, we have our companies and we get along well.”

Rob is looking for a sporty, cozy and adventurous woman. “She still has to be smooth in life. And preferably also look young.”

Just like Ingrid, Petra found her happiness on Lesbos. The sixty-year-old Amsterdammer moved to the village of Skala Eressos in the nineties. Everyone on the island knows her: for years she was the owner of the very first gay bar on Lesbos. She has recently started a new path as the owner of three villas, which she now rents out.

Although Petra feels completely at home on the island, she misses a partner. “It can be quite quiet on the island, especially in winter,” she says. She hopes to find an independent and travel-loving Dutch woman. “Because I miss the down-to-earth and humorous side of the Dutch.”

The youngest candidate of this season also lives the furthest away. The 32-year-old Dick runs a resort with eight apartments near Paramaribo. The resort is located in the middle of nature, which Dick loves. He also has his own tour company for tourists who want to explore the jungle. He does not even shy away from the exotic animals in the country: as a professional snake catcher, he removes wild snakes from houses and safely returns them to nature.

Dick is looking for a woman who wants to go on an adventure with him to discover rare amphibians and reptiles. “I’m looking for someone who likes to wear a nice dress, but doesn’t mind going barefoot through the mud.”

B&B Vol liefde can be seen on RTL 4 and Videoland from July 14.
