Nora Gharib kijkt met warme gevoelens terug op de tijd dat ze Marthe De Pillecyn mocht vervangen bij K3. De zangeres had zaterdag haar laatste optreden met de groep.
Gharib werd aangewezen als vervanger van De Pillecyn, omdat het lid van K3 met zwangerschapsverlof was. “Wat begon als een tijdelijke vervanging, groeide uit tot een avontuur dat ik voor altijd meedraag in mijn hart”, schrijft de 31-jarige Gharib op Instagram.
De overige K3-leden Hanne Verbruggen en Julia Boschman worden door Gharib bedankt voor hun tijd samen. “Voor jullie warmte, vertrouwen, vriendschap, en eindeloos veel plezier”, zegt de Belgische. “Jullie zijn niet zomaar collega’s geweest, maar echte zussen op het podium.”
Gharib richtte zich ook tot De Pillecyn, die het optreden met K3 weer oppakt. “Bedankt voor jouw steun, lieve woorden en vertrouwen. Ik voel me vereerd om even in jouw schoenen te hebben mogen staan.” Ook Studio 100, het team achter de schermen en de fans kunnen op een bedankje van Gharib rekenen.
K3 is sinds 1998 actief en kende door de jaren heen verschillende samenstellingen. De originele bezetting geeft eind dit jaar en volgend jaar een reeks reünieconcerten in het Antwerpse Sportpaleis en Rotterdam Ahoy.

Gharib was appointed as De Pillecyn’s replacement because the K3 member was on maternity leave. “What started as a temporary replacement grew into an adventure that I will carry in my heart forever,” the 31-year-old Gharib writes on Instagram.
The other K3 members Hanne Verbruggen and Julia Boschman are thanked by Gharib for their time together. “For your warmth, trust, friendship, and endless fun,” says the Belgian. “You have not just been colleagues, but real sisters on stage.”
Gharib also addressed De Pillecyn, who is resuming her performance with K3. “Thank you for your support, kind words and trust. I feel honored to have been able to step into your shoes for a while.” Studio 100, the team behind the scenes and the fans can also count on a thank you from Gharib.
K3 has been active since 1998 and has had various compositions over the years. The original line-up will give a series of reunion concerts in the Antwerp Sportpaleis and Rotterdam Ahoy at the end of this year and next year.
