No restart for potato and fries producer Cêlavíta

The possible restart of the bankrupt Cêlavíta is gone. The many and complicated work in the factory ensures that candidates drop out, curator Frans Aartsen announced on Tuesday.

According to Aartsen, the complex ownership structure would also cause doubts about the possible takeover. Cêlavíta is in the hands of the Dutch investment company Nimbus.

Last month, Aartsen reported that around ten candidates had reported to take over the producer of fries, mashed potatoes and pre -packaged potatoes.

All involved and the curator will consult in the coming period to close the factory in Wezep. Production in the Cêlavíta has been quiet since the bankruptcy was requested last month. All 171 employees lose their jobs.
