NBA-Rookie Quinten Post appears at Roland Garros: ‘Wil with Greek Spoor on Photo’

Quinten Post is enjoying a vacation after his successful debut season in the NBA. After visiting his family in Amsterdam, the Dutch basketball player showed up at a coffee bar at the Roland Garros tennis tournament on Monday. “I’m here to support Griekspoor.”

In sunny Paris, Post is waiting for his cappuccino with his girlfriend. The 25-year-old Amsterdammer towers above everyone with his 203 centimeters.

“I’m doing very well,” says Post, while waiting for his coffee. “Now just enjoying a nice vacation and then back to the United States.”

Post experienced a childhood dream this year. He debuted for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA and became the Dutch surprise. He played with basketball star Stephen Curry and came face to face with NBA legend LeBron James.

“It was incredibly cool. I look back with great pleasure on a wonderful season,” says Post, as a smile appears on his face. “Of course, a first season as a rookie is tough, but I enjoyed it.”

Griekspoor and Post have contact via Instagram

Even outside the borders of the United States and the Netherlands, people know who Post is. “I have certainly been recognized a few times. By some Dutch people, NBA fans, and even Warriors fans. I see that as a compliment.”

Furthermore, Post is mainly enjoying himself in Paris. “We just went to see Naomi Osaka and Iga Swiatek, that was really good,” he says, while looking at his girlfriend, who played college tennis in the United States.

“But my favorite is Tallon Griekspoor,” continues Post. “We’re going to watch him soon and cheer him on. We’ve had contact via Instagram. He also regularly watches my games on TV.”

“He knows I’m coming to watch,” says Post, who hopes to end his day with a special memento of his trip to Paris. “I want to take a picture with him. That seems like fun.”
