Tallon Griekspoor will begin his fourth-round match at Roland Garros around 1:00 PM on Monday. On Court Suzanne-Lenglen, he will face the German Alexander Zverev, the world number three.
The match between Griekspoor and Zverev is the second match on Court Suzanne-Lenglen on Monday. Before that, the women’s match between the Russian Mirra Andreeva and the Australian Daria Kasatkina is on the program.
The women’s match starts at 11:00 AM. The expectation is that Griekspoor and Zverev will enter the clay court around 1:00 PM.
The 28-year-old Griekspoor and his contemporary Zverev have faced each other nine times before. Of those, the Dutchman has only won two encounters.
In Paris, the North Hollander and the tennis player from Hamburg have met once before. That was last year. Then Griekspoor competed against Zverev in the third round, who was the better after a grueling battle of five sets.
Griekspoor could become the fifth Dutchman this century to reach the quarterfinals at a Grand Slam tournament, after Richard Krajicek, Sjeng Schalken, Martin Verkerk, and Botic van de Zandschulp.
