The Spanish justice system has demanded a prison sentence of 2.5 years against Real Madrid player Raúl Asencio. The defender is suspected of sharing a sex tape of a minor girl.
Three friends of Raúl Asencio, two of whom were youth players of Real Madrid, allegedly had sex with a minor girl and her adult girlfriend in 2023. The trio allegedly made images of this without permission.
Raúl Asencio was not allegedly directly involved in the sexual acts. But the Spaniard allegedly later went wrong by requesting the images from his friends and then distributing them via WhatsApp. That writes The Athletic based on sources.
The 22-year-old Raúl Asencio is suspected of violating privacy rules and would face a prison sentence of up to 2.5 years. In Spain, prison sentences under two years often do not have to be served, provided someone has a clean criminal record.
Raúl Asencio was already arrested at the Real Madrid training complex in 2023 because of the case. At that time, he played for the second team of ‘De Koninklijke’. He has since broken through into the first team, for which he has already played 41 games.
