Femke Bol won the 400-meter hurdles at the FBK Games in Hengelo on Monday evening. The Dutch top athlete was supreme and won in a stadium record of 52.51.
Bol already triumphed last month in her return to the 400-meter hurdles at the Diamond League competition in Rabat. The Dutch athlete came to a time of 52.46 seconds in Morocco and won the race with ease.
In Hengelo, Bol ran 0.05 seconds slower, but she was still in a class of her own and recorded a stadium record. That was already in Bol’s name, who came to a time of 53.94 in 2022. Gianna Woodruff from Panama came second in 54.54. Emma Zapletalova from Slovakia came third in 54.71.
Bol started as a towering favorite in the competition in Hengelo. The Dutch athlete has won the last 25 races in the 400-meter hurdles in the Diamond League. She has been undefeated in the Diamond League since 2020.
Bol also hoped to become Olympic champion in the 400-meter hurdles in Paris last year, but had to acknowledge her superior in the American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. The latter was not present in Hengelo.
Bol also won gold in 2021 and 2022 in the 400-meter hurdles at the FBK Games. She also won gold twice in Hengelo in the 400 meters flat. Last year she was the strongest in a track record (50.02).
