Cuby, Johan Derksen’s dog, has passed away. The four-legged friend was ill and was therefore euthanized last weekend, it was announced on Friday evening in Shownieuws.
“He has been lying between us for twelve years,” the television analyst responded in the SBS6 program. “We really have to get used to it in bed,” he said. According to him, “the trio is over”.
Derksen and his wife have an extra large bed so there was room for Cuby. He says that they are a bit of a “maniacal couple” in that regard. “The children have left home and then you take a dog when you retire and then you completely go overboard.”
According to Derksen, Cuby had a good life. “But he was finished.”
The dog was named after the Dutch band Cuby + Blizzards from Grolloo in Drenthe. That is also the village where Derksen currently lives.
