A false start – 100 days in the youth and family care of program maker Nicolaas Veul won the prestigious silver Nipkow disc Thursday. The winner was announced on Thursday in the Ketelhuis in Amsterdam.

The Silver Nipkow disk is a prize for the best television program or the best series maker. In the documentary series a false start – 100 days in youth and family care, Veul did a hundred days of internship in youth care and investigated his own youth.

“The program makes clear how immense the responsibilities of the people who perform this task are. Here no more honor and glory of the presenter, but complete service,” the jury writes in the jury report.
