The Linkin Park concert scheduled for Thursday at the GelreDome is currently still proceeding as planned. This was confirmed to NU.nl by organizer MOJO upon request. The American band canceled a concert in Switzerland on Friday for medical reasons.
The exact reason remains unknown. The show that Linkin Park will give in France on Sunday is also still taking place as scheduled, according to posts from the band on social media.
Linkin Park offered “sincere apologies” on Friday for canceling the show in Bern. “We have a medical issue and unfortunately cannot perform tonight,” the band said. “We have always loved Switzerland and were very excited to perform here.” Ticket holders can attend a replacement performance by the music group in Switzerland next year.
Linkin Park will perform in Arnhem on Thursday as part of a tour with the new album From Zero, which the band released at the end of last year.
It is the first album with singer Emily Armstrong, who has taken the place of Chester Bennington. The former singer of the American band ended his life in 2017.
Linkin Park broke through at the beginning of this century with the album Hybrid Theory. This was followed by more successful albums, including Meteora and One More Light. Most people will mainly know Linkin Park from the song In the End.
