Brussels Airport is Experiencing Delays and Flight Cancellations Again on Sunday. So far, at Least 44 Flights have canceled. The Cause is a Cyber Attack on an External Software Supplier That Took Place on Saturday.
The Airport in Zaventem Expects to Have To Cancel At Least 44 More Flights on Sunday. Previously, IT was mentioned that half or all 257 Departing Flights would be cancelled.
All Passengers must be checked in Manually, which Takes Considerably More Time. Althegh Brussels Airport Has deployed Extra Staff, Long Queeues and Delays Are Expected.
The Cyber Attack Hit Software Supplier Collins Aerospace on Saturday. This Supplier Provides Airports with Systems For Checking in And Boarding Flights. Airports in London and Berlin Are Also Still Suffering from the Attack. Longer Waiting Times and Delays are expected there on Sunday. Dutch Airports are not affected by the attack.
It is Still Unknown How Long the Problems Will Last.
