Billie Eilish swept the most awards at the American Music Awards on Monday evening. The 23-year-old singer won all seven categories in which she was nominated, making her the big winner.
Eilish won awards for best artist, best female pop artist, best album, and favorite pop album. The awards for best song, song of the year, and best touring artist also went to Eilish.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won two awards together: best collaboration of the year and best music video of the year. Kendrick Lamar received the most nominations. The American rapper was nominated in ten categories, including best artist, best album, and song of the year. But he only cashed in on one of those chances: best hip hop song.
The awards were first presented in 1974. The last time the AMAs were presented was in 2022. After that, the contract with TV channel ABC expired. Last year it was announced that the ceremony would move to CBS.
