Basketball players Thunder removed one more victory from first NBA title since 1979

Oklahoma City Thunder is one win away from the long-awaited title in the NBA. Coach Mark Daigneault’s team took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series against the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

The Pacers were defeated 120-109. Jalen Williams (photo) was the star with forty points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shone with 31 points and ten assists.

With another victory, the Thunder are certain of the NBA title. The sixth game is scheduled for Indianapolis on Thursday night. A possible seventh and decisive game will be played on Sunday night.

Oklahoma City Thunder is in the lead for the first time in the final of the world’s largest basketball competition. Daigneault’s team lost in the first and third games but was the better in the remaining duels.

With a new victory over the Pacers, the Thunder are certain of their first NBA title in 46 years. The club also won the title in 1979, but then they still played in Seattle under the name SuperSonics.
