Acteur David Hekili Kenui Bell, who starred in the recently released film Lilo & Stitch, has passed away at the age of 46. His sister shared the news on Facebook. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share that my dear, generous, talented, funny, brilliant, and handsome little brother David H.K. Bell will be spending today in the company of our heavenly father,” his sister writes.
Bell previously played minor roles in television series such as Hawaii Five-O and Magnum P.I. In the new version of Lilo & Stitch, based on the 2002 animated film, he had a supporting role.
The remake tells the story of the Hawaiian girl Lilo and her extraterrestrial companion Stitch. The main roles are played by Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agudong.
