The former student who killed ten people at a high school in Graz, Austria, on Tuesday also planned to detonate a bomb there. Police have found evidence of this.
It was already announced on Wednesday that police had found a non-working pipe bomb in the shooter’s home. Police also found discarded plans for a bomb attack, writes news agency Reuters.
The 21-year-old man shot ten people dead at his former high school on Tuesday. Twelve others were injured. He then took his own life. The shooter was a former student who never obtained his diploma.
His motive is not yet known. However, the police found a farewell letter. Austrian media write that the man felt bullied, but the police have not confirmed this information.
The violence has shocked Austria. Hundreds of people gathered on the central square in Graz on Tuesday evening to mourn and express their condolences. Flowers lie at the school and candles have been lit.
