Argentina will continue two men for sale of drugs to Liam Payne

The Argentinian justice system will criminally prosecute two men for selling drugs to Liam Payne. The British singer died in October last year after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires.

Toxicological research showed that the 31-year-old Payne had several types of drugs in his body. According to the Argentinian prosecutor, it has been established that the singer tried to obtain cocaine through hotel staff and other people involved.

Payne reportedly received the drugs at least four times. He allegedly paid with money he had received from his manager. Justice says that camera footage, chat conversations and witness statements support that story.

The suspects, Braian Nahuel Paiz (25) and Ezequiel David Pereyra (24), have been detained since December. If convicted, they risk prison sentences of four to fifteen years.

Earlier, three other people who were briefly suspected of involvement in the case were not prosecuted.

Payne died on October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from his hotel balcony. It had previously been revealed that the artist had several types of drugs in his body, including cocaine, crack and medication for anxiety disorders.
