Schiphol

A plane, en route from Poland to London, made a precautionary landing at Schiphol Airport on Sunday. There was smoke in the cockpit, forcing the pilots to land.

The aircraft was flying from Poznan, Poland, to London when “a small amount of smoke” appeared in the cockpit.

Due to the smoke, the pilots made a precautionary landing at Schiphol around 1:00 PM, according to the Kennemerland safety region. Emergency services were on standby as a precaution, but ultimately the situation was not serious.

The passengers were not affected by the smoke, according to the safety region. The pilots were examined, but they also suffered no ill effects from the smoke exposure.

An investigation is needed to determine how the smoke originated. Approximately three hundred passengers have left the aircraft, the spokesperson said. “It is up to the airline to see how they can now continue their journey to London.”
