Jeremy Renner was angry when he regained consciousness after his serious snowplow accident. The American actor talks about his near-death experience after the 2023 accident in the podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera.
“It’s quite an adrenaline rush,” said Renner, who felt like he was leaving his body. “I didn’t want to come back.”
He calls the peace that comes with it “amazing and magical”. For Renner, it was “a relief” to float outside his body. “It’s the most exciting feeling of peace you can experience.”
Since the accident, Renner has a new perspective on life, he continues. “I live my life by my own rules and for no one else. It’s very clear to me. All the noise has been removed.”
Renner, known as Hawkeye in various Marvel films, suffered serious injuries on January 1, 2023 when a snowplow ran over him. He broke a total of about thirty bones and suffered internal chest injuries. Last month he went back to work after a year of rehabilitation.
