The A4 in the direction of Amsterdam is closed due to a major accident involving two coaches. A spokesperson for the ANWB told NU.nl that it will take some time before the road is clear again.

The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon on the A4 near Burgerveen, where the A44 joins the A4. There are currently works in progress, which means that traffic has to drive more slowly.
The spokesperson for the ANWB calls it a stroke of luck that it is currently vacation time for many people, making it a bit quieter on the road. But he emphasizes that the A4 is a busy road and that the delay can be significant.
According to the ANWB, traffic from The Hague in the direction of Amsterdam can detour via Utrecht, via the A12 and the A2.
