Hailey Bieber shares her childbirth story for the first time: 'The toughest ever'

Hailey Bieber finds giving birth the hardest thing she has ever done. The model and wife of Justin Bieber even feared for her life, she tells the fashion magazine Vogue.

The 28-year-old Bieber had been preparing for her delivery in August 2024 for nine months. She did breathing exercises, acupuncture, yoga, pelvic floor therapy, sports and walking. “I did it all. I felt physically stronger than ever.” But the spontaneous delivery she had hoped for did not happen.

The delivery had to be induced and eventually lasted eighteen hours, but the bleeding did not stop immediately afterwards. “That was a bit of a shock,” says Bieber, who describes her delivery as “the hardest” thing she has ever done. “I had confidence in my doctor, but I was bleeding a lot and people die from that. So that thought does occur to you.”

According to Bieber, it is often pretended that childbirth is easy and intuitive. That is why the model thinks it is important to share her story.

Yet, despite the bad experience, she would like to have a second child, and perhaps more. Precisely because there are also very beautiful things about motherhood, she explains.
