I had no idea what it could be about,” Sedney tells Runner’s World . “In that conversation I was told that an anonymous report had been made by an athlete. Recordings would have been made of me in a private situation, where I was intimate with one of my training buddies.”
Sedney says he has not given permission to be filmed and sought support from the union. The male athlete involved disappeared for a while from Papendal. “I was under the assumption that he was being suspended, but it turned out to be not,” she says.
Sedney angry with athletics union
In the conversations that Sedney then had with the union, she was asked what was needed for her to have the athlete return. “I decided to write a step -by -step plan how he could return to the group. For me, the most important thing was that he would be honest.”
But according to Sedney, nothing was done with her step -by -step plan, after which the male athlete returned to Papendal after the indoor season. “There had been no open conversation, no honest explanation or explanation,” says Sedney, who is angry about the action of the Athletics Union.
