A man was electrocuted after climbing onto a train in Cologne. He suffered severe burns, but survived. The man told police he wanted to take a selfie on the roof.
The 25-year-old man did not touch the overhead line above the train, but came close enough that overvoltage occurred. This is reported by German media, including the Frankfurter Allgemeine, based on the German police.
The electricity released, according to the police, was 65 times stronger than the current coming from the socket.
The man fell directly onto the platform, where according to the police there were many people at that time. He was then taken to the hospital, where he is still Monday.
