Danny Ghosen returns to Omroep Powned

Danny Ghosen will return to PowNed on September 1st. The 47-year-old journalist and program maker is leaving NTR, where he has been making programs for the past few years.

“PowNed gives me a lot of confidence and offers all the opportunities to make great programs. I am happy that I can continue to do my work at the public broadcaster,” Ghosen said in a press release.

PowNed’s head of broadcasting, Dominique Weesie, is also happy with the return of Ghosen, who once began his career at that broadcaster. “Danny is a journalist with guts. He continues where others drop out and exposes stories that matter. That is precisely why he belongs at PowNed.”

Ghosen is known for programs such as Danny Zoekt Problemen (Danny Seeks Problems), Danny in de buitenwijken (Danny in the Suburbs), Explosief Nederland (Explosive Netherlands) and Danny ter plekke (Danny on the Spot). The latter program, in which Ghosen visited Syria after the fall of the regime of President Bashar Al Assad, was nominated for the Zilveren Nipkowschijf (Silver Nipkow Disc).
