Rymir Satterthwaite, who claims to be the illegitimate son of rapper JAY-Z, has ceased his long-standing legal battle. The thirty-year-old man has withdrawn his federal lawsuit against the American artist, according to documents obtained by E! News.
In a video on social media, Satterthwaite emphasizes that his fight is “not over yet”. He says he withdrew the case because “a lot is happening behind closed doors”.
Satterthwaite claims that his mother had a brief relationship with JAY-Z in the nineties. He has been trying to force a DNA test through the courts since 2012.
According to JAY-Z’s lawyers, the “fabricated accusations and claims” have already been dealt with and rejected by several courts. They speak of “just the latest case” of the “now decades-long harassment”.
JAY-Z has been with singer Beyoncé for almost 25 years. The couple has three children: daughter Blue Ivy, twelve, and six-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
