Illusionist Hans Klok was injured on Sunday evening when a saber went “straight through his arm” during a performance in Scheveningen. He finished the show and received stitches in the hospital afterward.
The illusionist took his place in a cardboard box for a well-known trick where spectators were allowed to stab sabers through it. Normally, Klok manages to avoid the sabers, but now he was hit in his right arm.
“I had a sword right through my arm,” Klok told RTL Boulevard. “Fortunately, it turned out well.” According to his management, he was lucky that no nerve, muscle, or vein was hit.
Klok finished his show and his arm was bandaged between different acts. Afterward, an ambulance was waiting to take him to the hospital. There, the wound in his arm was stitched.
The show Hans Klok & Friends can be seen in Scheveningen for three weeks starting this weekend. The performances will continue, Klok himself already said during the show.
