Kyle Walker returns to the Premier League, but not with Manchester City. The experienced defender has signed a two-year contract with Burnley. At the promoted club, he will be teammate with Quilindschy Hartman.

Walker was loaned out by City to AC Milan last season, which did not exercise the option to buy. Walker’s contract with City ran until the summer of 2026. According to English media, the surprising transfer to Burnley involved 5.8 million euros.

Walker had a mixed season at AC Milan. He played only sixteen games, in which he did not score.

The 96-time international for England has played for City since 2017 and has won no less than seventeen prizes, including six league titles and one Champions League title. Before his time at City, he played for Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur.

At Burnley, Walker meets four Dutch players. In addition to Hartman, who signed with the Premier League club earlier this summer, he will be teammate with Zian Flemming, Jaydon Banel and Shurandy Sambo.
