Donald Trump found the breakfast with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima wonderful. The American president spent the night at Huis ten Bosch Palace at the invitation of the King and had a photo session and breakfast with the royal couple on Wednesday morning.
“The King and Queen are beautiful and spectacular people,” Trump says on Truth Social. The president also writes that he is starting the day in the “beautiful Netherlands.”
Trump also attended the dinner at the palace on Tuesday evening for heads of state and government participating in the NATO summit in The Hague. Princess Amalia, who also attended the dinner, was introduced to Trump by Máxima.
Prior to the dinner, the Government Information Service did not want to share what was on the three-course menu. It has now been announced what Trump and the other guests were served: grilled tuna with a mousse of Amsterdam onions, veal tenderloin with chanterelle sauce and chocolate cake with tonka beans, soft caramel and vanilla sauce. In addition, there was a menu that took into account possible allergies and dietary requirements of the guests.
