Bob Dylan will release a book next fall with nearly a hundred drawings he made between 2021 and 2022. The artist’s book is titled Point Blank and will be released on November 18.
The book contains a collection of black and white drawings that are currently on display in an exhibition in London. It includes about a hundred portraits and landscapes. The drawings depict, among other things, roller skaters, a suspension bridge, a karaoke singer, and a roll of tape.
“This book showcases Bob Dylan’s mastery of storytelling, creating moods, and evoking emotions,” says Sean Manning, director of the American publisher Simon & Schuster. “The drawings are highly imaginative, humorous, sensual, enigmatic, and relatable.”
Dylan, who has been making art since the 1960s, first shared his drawings with the public in 2007. In 2008, the American singer also published a book of drawings, The Drawn Blank Series.
