Holiday parks by Peter Gillis are still not sold

The completion of the sale of Peter Gillis’ holiday parks is not yet in sight. According to Gillis’ lawyer, Erik Braun, there are developments, but he cannot say when more will become clear about the deal with the buyer.

Buyer Taeke Dijkstra previously did not want to pay because he did not know that the Tax Authorities had seized the parks. But he did not get off so easily.

On May 1, Gillis had enforced through summary proceedings that the transaction of 185 million euros for the Dutch holiday parks must proceed. According to Braun, the buyer is still working on arranging the financing. In the meantime, penalties are accumulating for not providing certain information, Gillis’ lawyer said.

Dijkstra’s lawyer does not want to provide an update. Last month, he reported that talks were underway to finalize the transaction.

Earlier this month, the AD wrote that bankruptcy has been filed for Dijkstra’s company, Limbutex. According to the newspaper, Dijkstra has problems with a real estate entrepreneur over the purchase of a holiday park in North Holland, for which Dijkstra allegedly never paid.

There had long been much ado about Gillis’ holiday parks. The reality star and entrepreneur allegedly committed fraud through the holiday parks, and people allegedly lived there illegally. Eventually, the locations had to close, and the family had no prospect of reopening.
