Indiana Pacers has forced a seventh and decisive game in the best-of-seven series of the NBA Finals on Thursday. The basketball team from Indianapolis defeated Oklahoma City Thunder with 108-91, bringing both teams to three wins each.
The Pacers took the initiative in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead. Obi Toppin excelled in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with twenty points, followed by Andrew Nembhard (seventeen points) and Pascal Siakam (sixteen points).
It is the first time since 2016 that a seventh game is being played in the NBA Finals. The final game between the Pacers and the Thunder will be played on the night of Sunday to Monday Dutch time. The game will be played in the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
The Thunder could have secured the second NBA title in the club’s history with a win on Thursday. The team also won the title in 1979, but was still playing in Seattle under the name SuperSonics.
The Pacers can win their first NBA title ever in the decisive game. They also reached the national final in 2000. The team lost 4-2 to Los Angeles Lakers at the time.
