Kneecap will come to AFAS Live in Amsterdam on November 12. The Irish rap group announced this on Instagram on Thursday. The presale for the concert starts on Friday.
Kneecap performed at the Best Kept Secret festival in Brabant last weekend. The trio was promoted to the main stage at the last minute. In September, the group will perform twice at Paradiso in Amsterdam.
Kneecap broke through internationally in 2024 with the album Fine Art. The group members Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara and DJ Próvaí also released the feature film Kneecap that same year, in which the trio plays themselves.
Mo Chara, whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, was recently embroiled in controversy. He was charged with terrorism in London. The rapper allegedly waved a Hezbollah flag during a concert in December and called for the death of British members of parliament.
The rappers previously stated that they have never supported Hamas or Hezbollah and would never incite violence against others.
Mo Chara had to appear in court in London last Wednesday. He was released on bail and must reappear before the judge on August 20.
