Frenna and Dylisa were chosen as the best male and female artists of the year on Monday evening during the FunX Awards. The presentation of the most important music awards for young people in the Netherlands took place in AFAS Live in Amsterdam.
Frenna was the big winner of the evening with two awards. The rapper also won in the best album category with Pink Summer. Ronnie Flex received the award for best singer, Broederliefde won in the best live act category and the award for best song went to Samen (Niet Alleen) by Kleine John and DJ DYLVN.
Chavanté, Qlas, kans and Oykie won the award for best collaboration. Other winners of the evening were Qlas (best MC), SRNO (best producer), JayKoppig (Next Best) and Qucee (best content creator).
In addition to the aforementioned prizes, the FunX Power Award was also presented, for an organization that has made an important social contribution to the target group of FunX. That prize went to action group Kick Out Zwarte Piet. Jayh was allowed to receive the Legend Award.
The FunX Awards took place for the twelfth time. Previously, the prizes were awarded under the name FunX Music Awards. The radio station chose to change the name to FunX Awards because, according to the station, the award show has grown into “more than a music show” in recent years.
