Chivu succeeds Simone Inzaghi in Milan. Last season, the Italian coach finished second in Serie A with Internazionale and reached the Champions League final, in which Paris Saint-Germain was too strong with 5-0. Inzaghi then moved to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
As a player, Chivu achieved many successes. The defender began his career in Romania, after which he played for Ajax for four seasons. He then moved to AS Roma and ended his career at Internazionale.
With the club from Milan, Chivu won three national titles and won the Champions League in 2010. He played 75 times for the Romanian national team.
After his playing career, Chivu became a technical observer at UEFA. After that, he was in charge of several of Inter’s youth teams. At the beginning of this year, Chivu started his first real job as head coach at Parma. Now he can try it at Inter.
